Palatial TV ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Palatial Tours, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over it when you use the Palatial TV mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication provider (email/password or Google) when you register.
• Profile information: display name and profile photo (from Google if you sign in with Google).
• Purchase and transaction data: records of the movies or content you purchase, including amount paid and payment reference. Payment credentials (mobile-money PINs, card numbers, bank details) are entered directly on PesaPal's secure checkout page — Palatial TV never sees or stores them.
• Usage data: watch history, video playback progress, genre preferences, and items you add to "My List".
• Technical data: approximate device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports that help us fix bugs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and maintain your Palatial TV account.
• Let you purchase content and access what you have paid for.
• Remember your watch progress so you can resume playback.
• Send transaction confirmations, receipts, and important service notifications.
• Improve our content recommendations and user experience.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not show third-party advertising inside the app.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable, we rely on the following legal grounds: (a) performance of our contract with you, (b) your consent (for optional features like Google sign-in), (c) our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

4. Payment Security

All payments for content are processed by PesaPal, a licensed payment service provider. When you tap "Buy Now", PesaPal's checkout opens in your device browser. You enter your mobile-money or card details there, not in our app. We only receive a payment reference and status (success / pending / failed) from PesaPal — not your financial credentials.

5. Third-Party Services

Palatial TV uses the following service providers to deliver the app. Each has its own privacy policy governing its processing of your data:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Privacy policy
• PesaPal — payment processing. Privacy policy
• Google (Sign in with Google) — optional OAuth authentication. Privacy policy
• Cloudflare R2 — video content delivery. Privacy policy
• Expo — app delivery and crash reporting. Privacy policy

6. Data Sharing

We share personal information only with the service providers listed above, strictly to the extent needed to deliver the Palatial TV service. We may also disclose information where required by law, a court order, or a lawful request from Tanzanian authorities.

7. Data Storage and Retention

Account data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level-security policies. Video content is delivered through encrypted HTTPS channels from Cloudflare R2. We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your account and the associated personal data.
• Export a copy of your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@palatialtours.com. You may also delete your account directly from the Profile screen inside the app.

9. Children's Privacy

Palatial TV is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database security. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

11. International Transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside Tanzania. Where this happens, we rely on the providers' contractual safeguards and security certifications.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you within the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Palatial TV after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
